Douthitt Engineering Company Plaque Sign, Tag. Industrial salvage and nice piece of history related to Frank Howard Douthitt’s engineering firm in Chicago.
Vintage and far from perfect so expect much wear and tear on this close to 80 year old tag with bends, scratches, scuffs, paint splatter, dings, wavy, nice Patina and still looks great! Found some fun reading online on this historic company at bottom of page.
This looks brass and nonmagnetic. Thin metal and weighs 1/4 pound. What is unusual about this is the nice displayable size so would wall mount and look great! Cool historic find.
Measures 10″ wide x 5″ tall looks around 1/16 thick. Date is March 5 1936. Collectors interested in Chicago industrial history or early milk drying/printing technology, Douthitt Engineering Company items is a must have.
