A truly museum-quality find for the collector of fine silver and luxury historical artifacts. This complete set features a masterfully engraved sterling silver spectacle case and its original period-correct pince-nez glasses.
Manufactured by the prestigious R. Blackinton & Co. of North Attleboro, MA, this case was custom-commissioned for the legendary luxury retailer Tiffany & Co. The exterior features an exquisite, deep Art Nouveau floral and scrollwork design with a blank central cartouche, ready for your custom monogram. The interior is lined with its original, vibrant royal purple velvet, which remains securely attached and in excellent condition.
Nice antique condition. The silver shows light, honest wear consistent with age mostly on bottom. The hinge is tight and the case opens and closes properly. The velvet is remarkably preserved. Glass lenses are clear with no major chips.
