The Legacy Set: Loew’s Grand Theater
This is a rare, complete historical archive from the world-famous Loew’s Grand Theater in Atlanta—the historic site of the 1939 world premiere of Gone with the Wind. This museum-quality set was salvaged and released by Grand Granite Enterprises following the theater’s tragic destruction by fire in 1978.
The “Gold Mine” Provenance
The center of this collection is the original, double-notarized Certificate of Authenticity from 1978. Signed by Austin J. McDermott (Pres. of Grand Granite) and Winston H. Morriss (Atty.), it legally verifies that these materials were salvaged directly from the theater’s facade by Hudgins & Co. Demolition Specialists. This level of verified paperwork is rarely found and makes this a true investment-grade relic.
What is Included:
Salvaged Theater Brick: Features the original brass plaque commemorating the theater’s history (1893–1978) and its status as the GWTW premiere site.
Salvaged Granite/Marble Block: A premium architectural relic from the theater’s ornate facade with an attached commemorative plaque which is pretty clean compared to the brick whos showing its age more.
Original 1978 Packaging: Both items come in their original, historically printed “A Momento From Atlanta’s Famed Loew’s Grand Theater” gift boxes.
Notarized COA: The original 1978 document of authenticity.

Condition: Items are in “as-found” vintage condition from 1978. The boxes show honest age-related wear, and the stones are in original salvaged state.
Weight: Approximately 7 1/2 pounds for the set. The set will be double-boxed and insured for its full value.
Granite is 4 1/2″ X 2 1/2″ x 1 5/8 tall counting rubber feet and weighs 2 1/2 pounds. Brick is 8″ x 4″ x 2/12″ give or take and weighs 5 pounds.

Good old condition for age and ready to display. Guessing made 1970s. Cool Find. Please check pictures for description and condition.
